Having decided to turn Christmas Tree 2005 into an annual tradition, this year I decided to reflect some of the religious meaning of Christmas in my sculpture.

In what finally looked more like an icon of the Easter holiday, Christmas Tree 2006 was the combination of the traditional Christmas and the Christian crucifix.

The tree was not decorated, allowing the natural textures of the timber, rusted nails and steel piping to stand out.
