Hobo

The majority of Gus' relatives live in a small village called Hobo. The couple of nights that we stayed felt like being transported to another world, with mud brick houses, external kitchens and toilets, and a plethora of cute farmyard animals!

I became the honourary owner of at least three puppies (Fenix, Brown and Spot), and was treated like a king wherever I went; an exceptionally humbling thing to receive such treatment from people who can often not afford to feed their families.

We took a boat to a small island for some relaxing beach time.

Bogota

The last of Gus' Aunts lives in the Colmbian capital city. Bogota is a sprawling city set in a valley high in the Andes. It is the centre of business and government for Colombia and home to museums full of pre-Colombian gold artifacts.
