Morocco

February 2010

At the coldest point of my second British winter, I promised to never stay in England for the entire season again. So when Michael and Carlita dropped in for a visit, we decided to head to Morocco for some warmer temperatures and sunshine.

I can say without a doubt that tourism has spoiled the two cities we visited. It was an enjoyable and interesting time, but following on the coattails of our experience in Tunisia, we will be giving North Africa a miss for our next couple of adventures at least!

Agadir

Agadir is a typical beach resort, good for lying in the sun and doing nothing else. Not so good when a cyclone passes through, with torrential rain and wind so strong it strips the paint off buildings. We did get one good day of sun, but not quite the beach time we were hoping for. On the bright side, Morocco revealed some absolutely stunning scenery on the bus ride to Agadir.
